A name, and a description of who you are and what you do.
Laura. 25. In nursing school
How long have you been roleplaying for? What sort of medium do you usually roleplay in?
Started roleplaying heavily in 2000-01 in the Eternal Struggle MUD, though, I was writing fan fictions far before that and participating in AD&D semi-larp tabletop games.
What would you like to get out of Dark Isles?
A rich roleplay experience. I, like a few here, am scared of investing so much into a character, but if the waters are right and the roleplay fun, you'll definitely see me around. I was invited by someone who wishes to remain anonymous, but they assured me of how wonderful an environment this is.
What sort of things do you find 'essential' in a mud you want to role-play on?
Community and kind people. Non-elitist roleplayers are a plus and people who are willing to help out even the green RPer are an even bigger plus. Exclusive groups are a big turn off in my opinion. The ability to walk into a room and get people to notice you and interact with you are a big turn on.
What is your favourite character archetype?
The victim, the seductress, or someone who hides great strength within a fragile form. Someone who can be both sinister and loving at the same time. Rivenfael, my old character from the ED Mud was my delicate blend of all these. Reeling from tragedy, she turned to lust to quench her sorrow and in that pain, she was wrapped up in an impenetrable web of violence and deceit. She sought love in all the wrong places and did some horrible things. Not quite a hero, but not completely evil either.
